The Central Murray Football Netball League (CMFNL) is a major sports competition in northern Victoria and southwest New South Wales, Australia. It includes both Australian rules football and netball, bringing communities together through exciting sports events.

History

The league was formed in 1997. It combined teams from the Mid Murray Football League, Northern Football League, and Echuca Football League. Over the years, new teams have joined, and some have left, making the league dynamic and diverse.

Formation and Evolution

  • 1997: The league started with teams from the Mid Murray Football League and three sides from the Northern and Echuca Football League.

  • 2002: Leitchville-Gunbower joined the league.

  • 2004: Tooleybuc merged with Manangatang from the Mallee Football League.

  • 2010: Leitchville-Gunbower moved to the Heathcote District Football League.
