Starting his career at East Warrnambool and South Warrnambool, he later progressed to the Oakleigh Chargers in the NAB League. Ugle-Hagan became a member of the Western Bulldogs Next Generation Academy and was selected at Pick 1 in the 2020 national draft by the Western Bulldogs.
